Eye Exams

May 25, 2015

Hey guys!

I wanna share a more personal story with you guys today. So last week, I got my eyes checked by an optometrist. I was never really having problems with vision until I was reading Jane Eyre in my English class. I was reading a lot slower than usual, and also my eyes felt very sore when and after I read. In the past, I have never had any eye problems, infact, I always had 20/20 vision. And I still have 20/20 vision, but I have an eye disorder called Convergence Insufficiency.

Convergence Insufficiency is a disorder where you have 20/20 vision, but you have a problem of how your muscles in your eyes read a page. The problem with Convergence Insufficiency is that you can score a perfect 20/20 on a vision chart in school, or at your doctors office, but never notice this. Since this is a tougher thing to detect, most children who have this, people think they have learning disabilities, but that’s not at all the case. I am saying, if you feel like a your eyes are sore after reading, or you get headaches after reading or you are seeing double, don’t just go to a doctor, visit an optometrist or an ophthalmologist to see if anything else is going on!

Okay, that’s the end of my rant, and my special edition article!

oh and by the way, I got ray bans, the picture of me is what I choose. These are the ones I got.

and yeah, and happy memorial day!

xoxo
