hey all!
oh my god, its the last day of february. for how short this month was, it was packed with homework after homework and events and spirit week, so why not just begin right?
lets go!
this month i had spirit week!
monday was time machine monday. i went as future me, grandma me.
 tuesday was “dudes-day” which is only funny because i go to an all girls school
wednesday was walt disney wednesday. my friend group went as the toy story gang, and i was supposed to be the slinky dog.

thursday was salad dressing day, i dressed in all blue, going as blue cheese. it was rough to say the least so i have no pictures from that.
friday was “spy day” which we wore all black, that was their cover, they introduced spirit day, where we had spirit games. we had the red and white teams and i was on the red team, of course we won.

nothing else really happened in this month, honestly it was pretty boring!

hey all!
whats up, its presidents day weekend, which has a nice day off, you can keep up with me daily if you have an instagram account, by following me and seeing my instagram stories where i post day to day content! i am sure you will love it!
but lets really get to the meaning of this post…
the things i have learned from being a blogger,

1. you have to get your stuff done and be motivated. just finishing homework and posts and working out and seeing friends, like the day doesn’t all add up so sometimes you just have to hold onto the episode of the office for the next night.
2. but, you also have to deal with times that you cannot always finish and sometimes fail. there are times i have missed posts, and almost cried if i couldn’t get a post finished. but i honestly have realized that missing posts isnt a big deal, as long as i am writing about what i love.
3. everything is not as pretty as it seems actually, most things are a lot more complicated than they seem. like i have talked about many different ways blogging is complicated, like talking about how long it takes for a perfect photo which totally fits my instagram aesthetic.
4. investing in your blog is where it’s at. spending money for nice camera is just a thing, in order to have pretty photos, you must have a good camera. therefore, investing in your blog, by making a big purchase makes your blog so much better!
5. it doesn’t always have to be about the pretty picture. even though i just admitted that investing in your blog is good, the pretty picture is not the only thing that matters, because it’s also about the words and not just pictures.

hey all!
first of all, happy valentines day! i hope you enjoy your day and show your love with all of the people you love today!
so really, let’s get to the meat of this post…
the college process…
three words that i was hoping i wouldn’t have to say this soon but all it has started. the craziness, and as of today i have taken both the act and the sat and had my first individual meeting with my school’s college counselors.
the college process is 72 crazy weeks of work, fear and waiting.
the last one, just waiting, lasts forever. i see all of my senior friends, just waiting and wondering. i am freaking out, like how can people be this patient! i am not too patient, i am very impatient, these colleges basically hanging the fate of these poor seniors in front of their faces, continuously sending emails and the topic always seems to come up, not only at school, but at home and in the social life.
i get the daily emails from at least 8 different schools, and then i get daily physical pieces of mail from 2-3 schools! this is per day, i typically get a point of contact from about 10 different schools, PER DAY. ten, there are basically thousands of colleges and universities across this country and i basically have gotten pieces of mail from 100 different schools so far, and i know they get my information from the SAT and the ACT, and i want some of that mail, but not all of it. but hey, i am hearing of schools i had never heard about before, which is pretty cool, because it allows me to learn about schools that i would otherwise never know about, but then again i get a ton of pieces of mail that i just shred, just seeing where it is from, then shredding it. i think i have only kept about 6 pieces of mail from places i am considering.
but on top of this all, to make this process even better, i am constantly stressed about grades and my extracurriculars, but i am so glad to have this blog to let out all of my stresses, love y’all!

hey all! after all these posts, there are still things that you don’t know about
i have been blogging for years, since 2014 actually! so naturally you guys probably know alot about me! i mean of course you know i am a high school student and a blogger, but after all these posts, there are still things that you don’t know about me.

1. i have been a girl scout since kindergarten and am still selling girl scout cookies! i am currently working on my gold award, the highest honor for a girl scout.
2. i cannot stand raw tomatoes, i think they look nasty and simply just scare me. but i will eat sundried tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato soup. but if a dish has tomato in it (like whole pieces) i will ask for the kitchen to remove it. i know it sounds bratty but i am a very picky eater.
3. ever since i was a little kid, i have loved winnie the pooh, and i continue to love pooh to this day. i just think he is so cute!
4. i love boba. like all boba, i absolutely love how the texture feels, (although most people hate it) i love how squishy it is! my favorite boba place is called TPUMPS and my favorite flavor is green jolly rancher!
5. i used to do musical theatre in middle school. i was really into it, but my talent did not exactly lie in singing, acting or dancing. but of course y’all know that i still LOVE broadway music.
6. in the 8th grade i was obsessed with the fault in our stars. i mean i read the book on my flight home from new york and continued to be obsessed with it until the beginning of my freshman year (basically when i started this blog!). i moved on from my tfios obsession to my fashion obsession, so basically you are welcome.
7. my family has always been a huge influence on me, teaching me all about art and how to appreciate it. my entire family are a talented bunch of writers, random fact know-ers, film-makers and photographers, believe me my artistic abilties come from somewhere. my family from a young age has always taught me not only the value of education, but the value of art.
8. by far, my favorite halloween costume that i had as a child was a magic 8 ball that my family made. they made it for my sister, but i wore two years after her, i love it because it was such a unique idea and i had a totally homemade costume while other people still were buying there’s from party city.
9. i am a really good cook. i am pretty sure my family can vouch for my fabulous french onion soup which i make alot during winter. but i also love making lemon chicken pasta, beans (that go with my dad’s tri-tip recipe) and best of all my homemade tomatillo salsa (which if y’all are lucky i might post on the blog soon!).
10. i am so thankful for my art gals, (you know who you are : natalie, ellie, meg & allison) for all that they do for me, helping me to critique my work and get better in my craft and i am so glad to have them as a support system in my life!
