Health Benefits of Matcha and Matcha Recipes

May 6, 2015

hey guys!

I wanted to share with you stuff about Matcha. I have always loved Matcha Green Tea ever since in 2009 Starbucks came out with their Matcha Green Tea Frappuccino. More recently, as of January this year, I have been doing research on Matcha Green Tea. These are none of my recipes, I have linked the recipes on the from the websites I use them from.

Matcha Green Tea is a darker green color, and contains healthier benefits than regular green tea. It supposedly helps hair, skin and nails. Since I have been regularly drinking Matcha Green Tea I have seen a difference in my skin. My skin is normally very dry, but is now very normal, which the same use of my lotion and stuff. It is not very caffeinated, at least as much as Coffee. Matcha Green tea supposedly also supposed to burn calories. I am really not sure how true this is, but I’ll take their word for it.

In addition to having pure tea, I use Matcha in some recipes.

  1. Matcha Green Tea Mug Cake: This is a quick and tasty Mug Cake! I love the taste of this thing, and its an easy way to get your Matcha in a tasty food-like way!
  2. ‘Starbucks Inspired’ Matcha Green Tea Iced Latte: This is a tasty way to drink your matcha. This is a Starbucks Inspired beverage, so you can drink something that tastes pretty accurate, for a dupe.
  3. Healthy Matcha Green Tea Coconut Fudge: This is a yummy alternative to a real fudge. I really like the taste of Matcha, and don’t love the taste of Chocolate so I think this is really tasty. I also love that this is high protein, and sugar free!
  4. Healthy Matcha Green Tea Fudge Protein Bars: These bars are low sugar, low fat, gluten free and vegan protein bars. These are really tasty and are very match-y! I make these all the time and don’t always cover them in chocolate. I bring these to school and enjoy my protein bars!
  5. Matcha Green Tea Shortbread Cookies: These are nice little cookies to eat. Sometimes I melt white chocolate or dark chocolate and drizzle the chocolate over the cookies. I love a crumbly shortbread cookie, and this is certainly a good crumbly one!
  6. Matcha Green Tea Madelines: Okay, so I LOVE madelines, they are so cakey and cookie like and make me so happy. These are tasty with a glass of warm milk!
  7. Matcha Green Tea Energy Drink: This is a really tasty way to get your energy drink in, while drinking a tasty healthy one. I personally don’t use the liquid stevia in the recipe, and it is good without it.
  8. Bubble Milk Tea Boba: Now Boba is usually really high in calories, but this tasty Boba is 150 calories instead of the usual 400 calories. This makes you feel better about drinking a tasty boba drink.
  9. Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream Bars with Magic Topping and Toasted Almond Shell: THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MATCHA RECIPES OUT THERE! It is so tasty and I am a really big fan of Ice Cream bars so this is basically my life.

I hope you guys like these recipes and Matcha overall. If you are looking for a certain place to buy Matcha Powder, I would check Trader Joes or a local Asian Market. If you enjoy any of the recipes comment below please!

What is in my Cosmetic Bag?

April 24, 2015

Hey guys!

I wanted to share with you guys what is in my cosmetic bag! Some have you guys have been asking about my favorite cosmetic products.

So starting with my bag, its an old-school Clinique bag that has a Lilly Pulitzer pattern on it! I love this bag, and its kinda a huge bag, which carries a hella-alot of stuff.

One of my favorite cosmetic products is Boi-Ing from Benefit. Its a concealer, and it is so perfect. It covers so well, and I am in love with this.

Okay, so I use a foundation primer from the Body Shop called Instablur. This product is alot like the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. This is a clear matte product for putting on your face before foundation, and it is great.

I love the Clarisonic Mia 2, it is the greatest product for a lazy person like me to wash their face. When ever I travel, I bring this everything because its 100% a necessity!

I carry two EOS lip balms. One stick and one ball. These are so smooth, I know I talk about this alot, but I also love this product.

I also always carry some nail polishes. I love having my nails painted, cause they look so much better painted! These are no certain colors, I use any color that I want.

I use an eyelash curler from Shiseido, that I bought at Sephora. I don’t always like to wear mascara, that is why I use this alot.

I also use Urban Decay 24 Hour Setting Spray, which helps my makeup stay in place.

thanks for reading guys! I hope y’all enjoyed this!

Looks for Less #1

April 19, 2015

hey guys,

So I have been thinking recently how expensive preppy clothes are actually are. So here I am gonna share two examples of the looks for less, and how to earn money/where to buy preppy things for less $$.

The Look for Less-Lilly Dress

these two dresses are both Lilly Pulitzer. One is from Target, and the other is from Lilly Pulitzer. Obviously the one from Target is gonna be not as nice, and they are not the exact same print, but if you are going for something that really looks like Lilly for cheap, just buy the one from Target.

Screen Shot 2015-03-31 at 5.24.09 PM

these two vests are basic puffer vests, one is from Patagonia and the other is from Mango. As along with the last one, the Mango one is not gonna be as nice, but this is still gonna be the look at you are going for!

Other tips for getting cheaper preppy clothes:

1. Just buy the basics, buy the things you need. If you don’t require a Kate Spade Purse, you do not need to buy one!

2. Buy Used Stuff. You can buy stuff from Poshmark , alot of people sell new things that they have never worn, but cannot return anymore.

3. Shop at factory stores and Nordstrom rack, you will find nice things that are “out of season.”

4. Take things that you already own, and buy the preppy acessories, to make your look more preppy.

thanks for reading guys! love y’all!

Preppy Disneyland Essentials

April 17, 2015

hey guys! I am visiting Disneyland on April 18th! I am so excited! I wanted to share with you guys some of my essentials for visiting Disney! Here are my essentials:

1. A Comfy Outfit and Shoes: As you can see in my photo above, I picked a plain T-shirt and comfy shorts. I love the pattern shorts, and just plain shorts that look like pajamas! This comfortable outfit will keep you nice comfy in the terrible lines in the rides too! This will also keep you cool because its 90 degrees in California right now.

2. Park Ears: Park Ears make you feel more into going on rides and feeling very disney! My hair always needs a headband to wear too, so this is nice because they are very festive.

3. A Big/Backpack/Purse: For me at least, a big purse makes things easier to carry with you. I am bringing my Longchamp bag because it is cuter than a backpack, but it is still a really good size for carrying everything that you need!

4. A Camera Phone/Camera: Well most phones now have cameras anyway, but the IPhone camera is not too good. I am bringing my Canon EOS M Mirrorless Digital Camera because it is pretty small, and it takes really good pictures.

5. Sunglasses: Now as I have said before, it has been 90 degrees in California recently, and its very sunny. To block the sun, because you really need to, you should bring sunglasses! I know this a “No-Duh!” thing to bring, but you’d be surprised how many times I have forgotten my sunglasses.

okay guys! thanks for reading this article. comment if you have any essentials that you would like to suggest. a little addition, I will be posting my disneyland photos on the 21st, and a different article scheduled to post on the 19th because I will be busy finishing up weekend stuff!

Hey guys!

I wanted to show you guys my beauty favorites for Spring 2015.

3. Essie Nail Polish in No Pre-Nup: Essie is my favorite nail polish brand and I am just loving the pastel colors for this upcoming spring season. -$8

4. Benefit Boi-Ing Concealer: This is my favorite concealer! At first I did not like the concealer because it was a pot concealer, and I just used my fingers, but then I got an It Cosmetics Brush.-$20

5. EOS in Passion Fruit: This is the smoothest lip balm around. In addition to being my favorite color and a very good scent. Love this balm! -$3

6. Soap and Glory Clean on Me: This is a shower gel which combines both shower gel amd body lotion. You will not believe how fast I went through this! -$16

7. Diptyque L’Eau de Eau: This is a light fragrance from Diptyque a french company that makes devine scents. This is good for all people with its light scent. -$98

8. It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Buffing Airbrush Foundation Brush: It Cosmetics makes a very beautiful line of brushes. They are the sofest brushes that make me so happy! -$35

9. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Classic: Putting this on before putting on makeup really makes your base layer full coverage. This really makes your foundation stick if you have pimples the day of your event. Buy it in the travel size to see how you like it. -$15
