Early Fall Looks

hey all!
i classify now as early fall? don’t you!
so since tody is a thursday, today is my fashion day! so i wanted to show you guys some fall looks that i put together!
so here we go!

top / jeans / shoes / purse / blue phone case / marble phone case / clear phone case / apple watch / bobble hair tie / sunglasses

this is one of my favorite looks! and its one of the more colorful looks i have put forth in this post. i love the shirt and it can be nice for fall because of the long sleeves. this look can alternatively be paired with anything silver colored rather than gold (as shown in this look i put together).

a more neutral look, the white skirt is probably not great for “after labor day” but personally, i love how the white skirt looks with the stark black shirt, but you could also do with an olive skirt or a brown skirt.

for fall i love the olive green color. i think it works as an “extra” neutral because of its dark color. and i mentioned before, i just love the neutrals for fall! and these shoes are so cute because of their lace up thing, and they come in so many cute colors!

i absolutely love this look because of the grid-print skirt. i think that it is a really classic print, even though this look is on the grungier side of the looks that i put forward today, but fall truly is one of the grungier seasons!

casual dresses are always my favorite! you can wear them anywhere! you can wear them: out to lunch, out to brunch, out to dinner, out shopping, to see a movie, to see a show really any reason can be a reason to wear a casual dress! so i LOVE this topshop dress, its a great color, that grey and the style is perfect!

off the shoulder clothing really is my favorite kind of clothing. and this baby pink color is so SWOON, i really do enjoy it. also i know that the sandals are not really fall-like, but for california, all the time is sandal time!
so i seem to be on a neutral colored aesthetic for all of these styles. so! i hope that you enjoyed my little post!

My Bullet Journal : My Favorite Waste of Time

hey all!
when you know what they say “The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.”
out well i LOVE spending time in my bullet journal. which i probably spend about an hour per week setting up or filling out.
do you know what a bullet journal is? well about six months ago i didn’t either well this is the cover of my bullet journal.

so basically in bullet journaling, you use an empty notebook and make a planner. i use a notebook called LEUCHTTURM1917. i absolutely love this notebook because it comes with page numbers and an index, so you can track your months and look back to pages if necessary.

sorry that these are such low-quality pictures, but here is what my weekly layout looks like. i layout my week, then use colorful washi tape to decorate. i typically buy my washi tape from target, paper source and maido. and i use STABILO pens in my planner, but i layout with muji pens.

here is my monthly layout. also for each month, i make a “spending log” where i track how much money i make or spend. i also make what is called a habit tracker where i track how many days in a month i slept 8 hours, or any habit that i would like to to better with.

Focus On Me! : An Update with Kate

hey all!
so officially i have had my first week of school!

yay!

but i have an incredibly hard time focusing back into school.
my mind is still on summer time, which seems like it could be a good thing, but it really is terrible.
i am still in the mindset that i can go home and watch netflix, and then start my homework in “30 minutes” but this 30 minutes turns into more and thinking that i can multi-task while doing things, but i really cannot.
and you know, i have golf everyday. so i get home around 6 pm because golf is 3:30-5:30
so i get home and watch an episode, and after one episode, i am completly ingrained in what i am watching and decide well now i can start doing chem.
NO KATE, you CANNOT watch One Tree Hill and learn about matter at the same time. sure, matter exists on the rivercourt in tree hill, but YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE A CONNECTION THAT WAY.
i focus better listening to music surprisingly even though, i recently i learned that its better to not listen to music (see my reaction here!)
so i just really need a way to figure my focus.

this is a blog that i have been reading since the 8th grade, and this is one of the blogs which made me want to start a blog altogether, so i am super happy to welcome my interview between carly and i

– When did you start blogging?
2008, I was right in the middle of my freshman year of college
– How did you get into blogging?
My first year at school wasn’t the easiest transition for me. I was struggling big time and desperate for some kind of creative outlet. A friend recommended that I start a blog… and I did!

-Why do you enjoy blogging?
I love so much about it. I love creating content, I love the analytics, I love running a business. I REALLY love getting to meet people.
-What do you like to do for fun?
Watching movies, Reading books, Playing with the dogs, Practicing yoga and Going to the beach

-what is your favorite social media platform for showing your blog off?

September Word of the Month: Routine

hey all!
its a new month! its finally september
wait did i say FINALLY SEPTEMBER
well school has started and i feel generally crazed i mean, i have school and then golf, so im re-starting my routine, so i picked…

routine

well, as i said before, i seem to be getting back into my routine! wake up – school- golf/art -homework-sleep
wake up – school- golf/art -homework-sleep
this is pretty much how my days have ended up

how will i try to be more ‘routine’ this month?

well, the definition of routine is “a sequence of actions regularly followed; a fixed program” according to google so i plan on building my routine to have more weekend time and free times on friday nights and such. i would also like more time for myself and meetings for clubs and committees that i am on!
also speaking about a new routine! i am planning on making fashion and clothing related posts on thursdays, life/school related posts on tuesdays and my series posts on sundays! does that sound good to y’all?

remember at the end of june when i updated you all on my summer bucket list, well at that point, my list looked like this:

try out different local yoga studios (to find a perfect fit for me!)

run a blog giveaway

My Back to School Finishing Touches

hey all!
so, since i officially go back to school in 4 days, i wanted to share with y’all my finishing touches for before school
my back to school finishing touches:
so its very important to plan some easy ways to make / buy some easy lunch foods to eat, so i picked out snacks and lunches! see the ones that i like.
planning snacks to DIY or buy:

peanut butter oat squares / oatmeal granola bars / chewy peanut butter granola bars / homemade fruit leathers

planning lunches to DIY:

microwave mac and cheese / freezer bean burritos / homemade spaghetti-ohs /

homemade hot pockets / sesame noodles

so some of my other last finishing touches include cleaning my adidas, in the article below it explains in steps how to clean your old shoes

my next step would be loading all of my pens into my pencil case for school, at this point i also color coded my pens. i put labels on each of my pens that i need for taking certain notes.

my other finishing touches include packing my backpack and labeling all of my supplies. i bought monogram stickers from DavisVinylCreations on etsy. i absolutely love their product and would recommend these stickers to anyone!
