hey all! 

today is my last day of finals! yay woot woot, once i am completed with my last test my junior school years is OVER! it’s so crazy to think by this time next year i will be GRADUATING! i truly cannot believe it! 

anyway, lets get to what i am looking forward to in june! 

1. getting a nice summer pedicure! 
2. finally getting to watch the handmaids tale after my school is over!
3. feeling the burn of working out x6 per week! 
4. getting more opportunities to go out places!

hey all!

we are now taken to the end of may! i cannot believe it! its the last day, today i have a math final today – so wish me luck! i am happy and sad may is over – because my birthmonth is now officially over, but school is also over! i am mostly sad because in a few days all of my senior gals are graduating and officially leaving the days of high school and headed to their prospective colleges – believe me i am happy because of their success, but i will really miss them next year and that also means my class (the class of 2018) takes our role as seniors!

here we go with the month in review!

as you all should know, i had my 17th birthday! the year was all kinda a crazy whirlwind, i cannot believe i am 17 and i often still even tell people that i’m 16! it’s crazy! 

my sister went on a overseas trip and came back within this month! she had an amazing experience from what she had told me thus far. i am glad she came home safely and with great and intresting new experiences. 
 i went on a hike with some old and new friends on one of the hottest days of the early summer so far, it was so hot but once we go i makde it all worth it!

 i got new artwork done and am working on more for the summer! 

i hope you enjoyed this little post! i mean besides my birthday, this month was filled with a ton of studying and prep for the end of the school year which is not too off now!

happy thursday!

i cannot believe its already may 25th and man i have finals next week! but once i am done with finals i can relax and start reading! speaking of reading, today i wanted to share my summer reading list picks – what i want to read, or what i am reading along with their amazon links which if you wanted to, you could purchase the books!

#1: big little lies by liane moriarty

the book that the hbo show featuring reese witherspoon and shailene woodley was based on. okay, so my sister made me start watching the show, and she left – along with her HBO password – on a trip so unfortunately i am stuck on the second episode. NO SPOILERS! but i have really wanted to read the book because the show – even though i am only on the first episode – is so good! i am very much looking forward to finish watching it so i can read it!

#2: almost adulting by arden rose

arden rose, one of my favorite beauty and lifestyle vloggers to watch on youtube came out with this book earlier this year which is called almost adulting. arden writes a candid guide of different things you may experience as an adult like making internet friends and making sure you are eating enough protein! along with its cute cover, this looks like an interesting and an educating read!

#3: rich people problems by kevin kwan

the 3rd book of kevin kwan, following his popular books crazy rich asians and china rich girlfriend (both of which i have read & highly suggest reading if you have not yet) comes this book, rich people problems, following the story of a family who is in a crazy fight over land while their grandmother dies – leaving a large plot of land behind her. this book looks so good and i am so excited to read it!

#4: the handmaid’s tale by margaret atwood

so, i have read this one before but i am reading again for my ap lit class which i will be taking in the fall. i am in love with this book and if you have seen – or haven’t yet seen (i am so excited to watch it but i am waiting still school gets out) you should read the book. especially if you are a dystopian fan or liked 1984 or brave new world, the vibes are totally similar but – in my opinion – the handmaid’s tale is more relatable because its a story of women, rather than men.

#5: blink by malcolm gladwell

in my ap lang class at the end of the year – like two weeks ago we had book presentations on a free reading book in which we picked, one of the girls in my class picked blink. when she started talking i thought the book would be boring because – hello its non-fiction! but while listening this book seems interesting and something that i want to learn about! blink basically explains how we, humans, think without thinking, crazy i know but i am so excited to read it!

hey all!

its soooo hot here in pasadena it totally feels like summer already – even though we have almost another MONTH till summer officially starts- ugh!! i am already feeling the summer lag and don’t want to take my finals – which are next week and of which i only have 3 (thank you AP classes!)- but i am super excited to be done with school because that only means MORE BLOGGING! and more fun adventures to post about and of course more time just lounging and relaxing in the sun!

since i was feeling those summer blues i thought, what better than making a summer playlist perfect for pool parties, lounging, sitting on the couch eating chips (i don’t lie, sometimes this is how i feel on 90 degree days) or exercise!

in continuation of my ‘super summer series’ today i am sharing some of my favorite summer accessories for this summer. the colors i am absolutely loving are blue and white for the season and many of my accessories have these colors or are going by that theme!

lets get started!

1. cult gaia ark bag : the ‘it’ bag of the summer, i want one of these so badly! they are so cute and perfect for summer.
2. draper james jack rogers: draper james, the brand of reese whitherspoon already had such cute things but these shoes are really fabulous!
3. the wave sonix iphone case: i have always been a fan of hokusai’s the wave, and this phone case is perfect – now if only i had a new phone.
4. too faced cosmetics highlighter: i actually own this concealer, it is really pigmented and leaves an amazing shine for the face, the formula is extremely soft and not heavy.
5. kylie and kendall bag: this is a really awesome base bag, and has a super cute detailing and perfect for the summer.
6. ‘on vacation’ hat: these have been so trendy for a few years, and i know you can make them yourself, but this one is not too expensive and is worth it if you think you may mess up on one!
7. ray ban blue aviator sunglasses : going along with my theme, class ray ban aviator shape in a new color!
8. splendid tie espadrilles: i have been posting about these for awhile, but i am really in love with these shoes because espadrilles are perfect for the summer!
9. tiffany and co 1837 band ring: i have the matching bracelet to this ring and actually love how the ring looks, how simple it really is!

hey all!

whats up?

i cannot believe its already the middle of may! its kinda crazy to believe that in just a few weeks i will be a senior! ahhh i cannot believe i am so old!!

so onto the post! today i wanted to share with y’all some of the plans i had for things i either had or wanted to do this summer!

let’s go why don’t we!

1. working! WORKING 9-5 what a way to make a living! of course 9-5 are not my hours but i will be working this summer like i did last summer at my school helping out. i just love waking up early so that i have something to do for the day and i start my day off well!
2. swimming & relaxing! i want some time to swim, although i am not a great swimmer i would love to be better and practice because swimming is a great exercise as well!
3. blogging! of course i will be blogging all summer. i will be sharing cute summer outfits, to preparing for school, continuing to explore colleges and such and such!
4. exploring la! i am planning on in the afternoons getting active and being able to explore some cool new places with my family. some of these will come soon on a post for bucket list!
5. taking photos! have you seen my instagram lately! i am loving it so i will keep sharing photos on the ‘gram as well as sharing more on the blog almost weekly! i am so excited for more pretty photos coming soon!
6. helping my sister make films! my sister goes to film school at usc, and makes some pretty cool films, in which you can see here! and i am gonna be an actress for her this summer, we will see how this goes!
7. keeping active! i am planning for weekly hikes this summer as well as my morning runs and other fun classes and videos to follow! i am gonna keep my cool and try new things which is very exciting!
8. preparing my portfolio! i am taking ap studio art next school year and i am very excited, but also very nervous. i am ready and not ready but i am very excited to continue to do art, which i really love to do!
9. touring and exploring colleges online! i am going on a little tour of the colleges around the area and i am gonna do some exploring online because many schools have like a google maps things where you can electronically see more schools!
10. doing homework! i have a lot to prepare for being a senior, especially ap lit and for ap gov so i am planning to study and of course, do my khan academy math homework.
11. test prep! i am gonna continue to prepare for my college process!
