The Definition of Preppy

February 25, 2015

Hey guys!

So this is a picture from preppykidproblems.com and shows a definition of what people think preppy is versus what it actually is. So when most people think of being a preppy person they think of “A young person from a rich family who goes to an expensive school and who wears expensive, tidy clothes.” Okay this is basically the stereotype of preppy people or prepsters.

I use the word “preppy” to define my sense of style, my personality and my way of life. The way I think, all the time I put together outfits I think of my style and how this would make me look. I like being preppy, I like it a lot.

My favorite line from the article “The Preppy Manifesto” on properkidproblems.com is “Labels, money, or stuff do not make someone preppy.” and I think this is why I love being preppy!

Comment up what you think of this! And read the this article!

Thanks guys!

Picking Out My Formal Dress

February 20, 2015

IMG_1190

Hey Guys!
About a month ago I started looking for my formal dress. I looked at Nordstrom, Topshop, Tobi, Windsor and American Apparel. First I looked for a style I liked. Recently I decided that I look better in an A-Line Dress, so I decided to look at mostly them. I looked into an amount of money I was willing to spend. Then I bought the ones that I thought were the cutest. I ended up with many dresses that came in the mail.
At this point I felt swamped, I had so many dresses that I liked, but I hadn’t decided which one I liked the most. The next step was to them on with accessories and shoes, and then decided how formal each dress was. This process seems very insane but it ends up with the perfect dress. I am in love with my dress and am very excited to show everyone else.

Getting Ready for Formal

February 16, 2015

Hey Guys!

As I told you guys before, my formal is coming up soon! YAYYY!! And I am gonna give you some tips for prepping for getting ready for that big event.

1. If you are doing your hair or makeup yourself, try it yourself, before the day of the event. Really make sure what you wanna do before the night of, because especially I don’t have alot of time because I have school earlier in the day!

2. If you need to get your eyebrows waxed, do it now!!!! Okay so it seems far in advance for a dance on Friday, but you should do it sooner rather than later, because if you do it the day of, you will still be red.

3. If you have a new pair of shoes, start getting used to them now. High heels tend to be very uncomfortable the first time you wear them. If you don’t test them out before the dance, halfway through the evening you will have taken them off!

4. (THIS GOES WITH #3) Bring a pair of flats in addition to your heels. I know what you are going to say, why, my heels are fine, but believe me, after a long night, all you will want to do is wear flats.

5. Make sure your date knows to get a corsage and you remember to get a boutineer. Its very cute, and they take good photos, and you might be the only one without one!

Anyway, guys! I hope you are having a great President’s day and a great week!

3. Monogrammed Longchamp: This bag is the bomb! It carries everything that I could possibly need with me! It can even be used as a carry on purse, which I think would be a great new thing to bring with me as I travel.

4. Marley Lily Monogram Necklace: This is just a very stylish very me necklace. I don’t have any other way to explain it but I just really love this necklace!

5. Patagonia Down Sweater Vest: This vest is probably the best thing ever. Even though it isn’t very warm in sunny California, it is still great! It is a very good investment.

Glam Glow

January 25, 2015

2015/01/img_1046.jpg
Hey Guys!
A few weeks ago, I ordered the original Glam Glow mask. I had heard about the Glam Glow mask a lot before, from many blogs and social networks. I never considered really buying it because it was a $60 mask and that sounded a lot for just a mask. BUT ITS NOT JUST A MASK! For Christmas, I asked for Sephora gift cards from my family members, and bought my mask.
Okay, so I got my mask and have used it only 3 times, but I can see amazing results. I only really get pimples on my chin so, I use once a week and only a little bit so it will stay with me for awhile. The results are incredible and I love this mask!
Hope you have a great day and great week!
