hey all!
i was so excited that y’all loved my first dorm room post so much i decided to do another one sooner rather than later! i’ve been on the constant hunt for new stuff thats even better than before but i’ve honestly been CRAZY trying to figure out how to get all of my stuff to my dorm room without packing up and paying to ship boxes. so i think for decor stuff i’m gonna wait till i move in and then purchase items online so they ship to me, just because then i won’t have to worry about getting my stuff across the country and i will only pay the shipping fee to ship them to DC, and not LA then DC. but if any of you guys have moved to school across country and have any advice for me comment on this post, find me on social or send me an email at macaronsandmusthaves@gmail.com! thank you in advance for your help!

its tuesday so it felt like a great day to share another outfit look with y’all! i heard from instagram that you like the outfit posts – both photoshopped (like this) and real photos like the other ones and i’m so glad you guys like these posts because i do a lot to curate items, isolate them and finally put them together!

this is honestly a perfect shopping day outfit, a brunch outfit, a just perfect nice going out outfit. you guys know my obsession with wide legged pants – these baby pink colored ones have my heart! they are so so so cute, not shocked that madewell made them but i’m so glad because i so want to buy them! i paired it with a straightforward tank, just for the perfect summer day and not too much sweat! i am in love with these geometric shades in the tortoise color. i also paired with this look with nude-y/tan-y accessories. i usually wouldn’t love these shoes, but something about summer actually makes me like them!

hey all!
at risk of sounding like a broken record ( i say this at LEAST every month) happy july! – officially 6 months of the year are COMPLETED! its completely insane to me that its this far into the year and two month ago i just decided where i will be attending school and in less than two months i will move into that school, and to be honest i’m so freaking excited. it seems to be one of the first things on my mind day to day, when i buy things or talk about future plans and its crazy and all VERY surreal.
here are somethings that i’m looking forward to this month!

you know that this month i would see where i am living. and! i did! i am living in a quad in the building i wanted to live in which is super exciting! i am living with my absolute oldest friend (i.e. i have known her all but two weeks of my life, and that is just because she was born then). anyway, we (and our two other roommates) have started to chat about living together at gw, and because i’ve basically been planning a total dorm look since i was a freshman in high school (y’all its BAD, but i’m obsessed with this kind of thing) i know its just the time to start!

Blue Pants in West LA

hey all!

last saturday, i went down with my sister to melrose place to shoot this adorable summer look – and to shop the new glossier store! she needed some work clothes and of course i came with her, because A) i am a shopping FIEND B) (i think) she thinks i have good style, or basically know what looks good on others (and i think she’s not wrong). anyway, we headed to the YUPPIE basic store h&m to find her some appropriate work level styles. while we were there, i found stuff for her of course, but i also found these TO DIE FOR blue striped wide-leg pants. i’ve been eyeing styles like this for awhile, but since they were UNDER $20 i just decided to go for them, and i styled them in a look that i am loving!

y’all know my oh too real obsession with bodysuits, and i also love this bodysuit not only for its versitility, and price (UNDER $20) but for the actual lightness of the fabric. in the hot LA weather i can’t exactly deal with something that is too hot, but this is also nice because it can be layered and also worn in cooler weather! and i’m just in love with these pants – they feel like pajamas, but are much more chic. because they are a tad cropped (idk if this is just a thing because i’m tall) but i decided to pair them with heels, but they also look awesome with my high top sneakers!

Graduation

hey all!

you know because i already posted about it, but i graduated from my high school on june 3rd, 2018.

its crazy to think, but its already been a WEEK since i’ve graduated and it all kinda feels the same. i mean, i’ve been putting together my schedule for next year, meeting my roommates and starting to put together my dorm, worrying about moving across the entire coutry and dealing with WINTERS, and of course what i will be wearing in these winters (after all i am still a blogger!). its all so real, except not so real yet, like i know i am leaving in a little longer than two months, but it still feels foreign to me, i still feel like i am gonna go back to mayfield.

maybe because it felt like the ending was abrupt, maybe its because i loved my experience so much but i feel as though i didn’t have closure. its really hard to say why i don’t feel closure, i mean i finished my classes, went through transition week and i GRADUATED, the white dress, the roses, the whole ceremony & MY DIPLOMA. i mean its over, like i’m done with high school but i feel like i haven’t had the emotional response i usually do when things are over.

maybe i feel like i am ready, to leave high school, to leave my home and to leave LA and thats why i haven’t yet freaked out that its over? maybe i prematurely freaked out during college decision time so i decided i was done with the anxiousness? but i can’t be completely sure you know, it’s so odd to me.

i have always had a reaction with moving on and change, i get intense ‘graduation goggles’ – meaning when i am preparing to move to the end of something i get so nostalgic of the ‘good times’ i had in whatever place/thing that is ending. i get this when i have each birthday for as long as i can remember. weeks going to my birthday i can’t be more excited, and even the day i have my birthday i am so excited but the last few hours i finally decide that i actually don’t want to get older, and i don’t want the year to be over.

i feel as though my ‘graduation goggles’ did kick in, however the second part, the sadness, the wanting to stay in the moment not wanting to move on never happened, and thats why i don’t really feel like this moment is over, at least not yet.

how’ve you been all! i feel like i haven’t personally checked-in in a long time, and even though i am not explicitly doing this today i wanted to see how your own summers were turning out (so far) i know its probably only been a week for you all (like me) but i think i have actually gotten alot done and have planned super fun things for y’all this month & the rest of the summer on m&mh!! so i’m very excited and i’ve done a few shoots lately, and will try to share as many actual pictures of me as possible, here’s a look i built for y’all!

i have been loving body suits lately (y’all know me!) and these pants just scream out for a cute bodysuit! i love the neutral style and the tie on the waist. they are a nice fabric not too hot or heavy like jeans sometimes are! i love these lower white heeled sandals, i love the ankle tie on them, and the lil-gladiator style! you know my feelings about bucket bags, (i love them)! and scrunchies are always my style!

hey all!

(anyone correct me if i am wrong, but!) there is this tradition called ‘grad night’ at different theme parks to celebrates high school seniors for graduating high school, and of course, since i just graduated i got to visit disney’s california adventure park all day and then into the night along with a few other groups of other high school seniors. i decided that this would be a fun chance to wear a cute outfit and just have fun with my friends, soooo…

here’s my look!

i paired a topshop straight neck bodysuit with my favorite pair of levis jeans. to carry my stuff, but to keep myself totally hands free i opted for my favorite fanny pack! its big enough to carry your wallet, sunglasses, portable charger and a bar, but you can also opt for a cuter belt bag, but i went for a functional one instead of a cute one! i put my halter bralette because its super comfy and also cute! finally, i wore my minnie mouse ears to show my disney excitement!

Goodbye Mayfield

hello all!

this past sunday in a beautiful ceremony at my school mayfield, i finally graduated high school! i have so many feelings which i am not quite ready to talk about but will be sharing very soon! in true blogger fashion, i thought, i would share tons of photos from the day with caption explanations etc!

here we go why don’t we!

we graduate in long white dresses with gloves and red roses. it has been a tradition of all mayfield graduates. and after deciding i actually did like my dress after all, i was super excited for the whole ceremony!

we walk down an aisle in the middle of our beautiful north lawn where we graduate! its a crazy experience to walk down steps without holding railings, in heels and not looking down! all while in a long dress!

here’s one of alix (my older sister) and i! she found some super cool glasses, and she has this whole niche thing where she wears glasses (like these) to different events and i love the ones she found!

here are my ‘core four’ friends! i’ve known them all since i was 5 years old and i will miss them all dearly next year, after 13 years of school together, it will not be the same without them.

here’s my friend and fellow colonial maeve! i’m so excited to be starting at the george washington university with her this august!

& here’s my best friend ellie! she was the valedictorian (which at my school is the person with the highest gpa!) and i’m so proud that she will be attending notre dame in the fall!
